The Vita is a nice piece of hardware, but really the software a device like that needs to sell comes from the one company it can't get any games from -- Nintendo.
Nintendo and Sony together could maybe make this thing fly.
The other thing I think people overlook is the thing just isn't very portable. It's the size of a freaking brick and totally takes up an entire pocket, and unfortunately for Sony, baggy XXXL jeans went out of style a few years ago.
The DS XL is the same size but it's an *optional* model, not the main model. If you could only get the 3DS in the XL size, I think that would be another knock on its sales too.
