It could be the same voice, just better managed by a real director, better more nuanced emotion.
Do you notice that Mario's voice has emotion?
This might sound like a silly thing to discuss but it's something I consider important personally when it comes to the general package of a good game, especially the game that should be the best in the industry, as demonstrated by the use of orchestras in the OST.
