6.2 inches And lacking is the wrong word here. Imagine for example the DS with a sensitive multitouch screen. 70% of their games wouldn't be possible, especially the most precise ones. Professor Layton, Zelda PH, Wario Ware, Brain Age, Trauma Center, Picross, ... sometimes is not only "touching" that matters. Sometime ago, we were nodding at the possibility of Scribblenauts on Vita... on second thought, that's impossible, as it's way more precise than you fingers can be, especially on a 5 inch screen. Some things require pin point precision |
6.2" is indeed impressive. I was under the assumption that i was 5", although I might have mixed it up with the 3DS XL model that is just shy of that mark.
Other than that, they have styli for capacitive screens such as the Vita and/or iPhone. You know Scribblenauts is on the iPhone right? Not to mention it is also considered to be better than the DS version. Now why can't Vita pull it off on a 5" screen but the iPhone has no issue with it's 3.5" screen? The keyboard on these devices alone make them more ideal.

You would be surprised at what you can do with a capacitive screen, regardless of the FUD spread around the net. Have you seen what people have drawn with Paint Park on Vita or the plethora of things drawn on iPhones and iPads?
iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.
