I just think it's too early to count the Vita out. We still haven't seen the effects of big games like COD and AC, or bundling of said games, or the inevitable price cut, or whatever other big games they still have up their sleeve. (A MH game could make it successful in Japan single-handedly, or a FF7 remake globally)
It's not safe to assume that its current weak performance will continue despite all these things, at least in my opinion.
