The reason why many AAA games that should be on the VC but aren't is simple... Nintendo could make a boatload more by simply re-releasing or re-making them as full-price retail games like they've done many times before. Remember the Super Mario Advance series on GBA? Yeah, those NES/SNES Mario games that are only 5 bucks on VC... $29.99 retail price on GBA, including Yoshi's Island.
I was actually shocked that some games like FFIII (VI) on SNES made its way onto the VC despite Square putting out a remake on the DS. I'm sure we'll eventually see most of these games once the Wii U is out and Nintendo (hopefully) embraces the digital download age with a robust online marketplace instead of the half-assed VC / WiiWare shop.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.
