Every PS1 3d game had polygons jumping and shifting about. Mario 64 was a launch title and PS1 didnt have 1 single 3d game that matced it.

Go tell that to them. There were and still are a lot. Just search google. They can nitpick like you've never seen.

Thats crazy. PS1 could simply not run games like Mario 64, Perfect Dark ( this game absolutely destroys completely any PS1 visuals ) Wave Race 64, Goldeneye, Turok 2 hell this list is nearly endless. Resi 2 on N64 also looked way better on N64 in gameplay. Cutscene was lost  in compression though.
