The small sales decline for MW3 I think has more to do with the overall drop in market SW sales rather than the COD series losing popularity. COD is really hurting all other shooters out there, and hurting them bad. |
Ubisoft released USA NPD figures in which till Sep 2011 Reach sold 4.7m in USA. So yes the decline was pretty big because Halo 3 sold way more. But Halo 4 will be better indicator since its numbred title.

So Halo Reach might be overtracked by VGC since we have it at 5.7 mill for USA until end of 2011.
Yes, Halo 4 is indeed a better indicator of Halo's popularity, but that's what my predicition is about - that Halo 4 won't pass 10 million lifetime worldwide, and perhaps more importantly, that COD will crush Halo 4 on Xbox LIVE active player numbers.
