So you couldn't do Mario Galaxy 1 & 2, Conduit 2, Red Steel 2, Darkside Chronicles, or Zangeki no ReginLeiv on the original Xbox?
IIRC, it paid a price for it, with framerate issues, a grass and things drawing feet ahead of your character, and some very blocky shadows. Very ambitious though, I'll give it that; bloom, detailed environments, 360-style shadowmaps, lots of characters running round at once, etc. Overall though I think it bit off more than it could chew. |
The majority of the time, framerate issues are the results of faulty programming and/or lack of optimization especially when it occurs sporadically like that.
You could tell by the looseness of some of the gameplay mechanics that they didn't go all in on Overlord. It was a nice effort though.
