Ok let's apply some math here:
Making a generous assumption that from next month on, the PS3 consistantly outsells the 360 by 50000 units per month *. This would yield 600000 gain yearly. Using VGchartz' totals of a current 2M units lead, it would take just over three years for the PS3 to outsell the 360 total. I have no idea what the future of xbox is, but my feeling is that even if the xbox were discontinued, I doubt the PS3 would be shifting 50000 total monthly units in late 2015.
*(note that this is much larger than the actual figure, which tends to favour xbox in the holidays)
