I really doubt the "majority of the gaming media hates Nintendo," the majority grew up on Nintendo consoles. I think it's just that most of them are out of touch with Nintendo and have lost interest, thanks to... well thanks to whatever, not really relevant. 

There's a difference between getting out of touch and hating, I consider this article to be somewhat hating, most of his points are completely bias and the few that are real facts doesn't really make any of his points stronger.

Of course not all of the gaming media hates Nintendo, I was exaggerating,  but you can't deny most of the big gaming sites love talking about the doom of Nintendo, like IGN, Gamespot, Kotaku, Gamasutra and N4G just to name a few, and I'm honestly getting tired of it. I really hope that the main reason those sites talk so bad about Nintendo is to just get a lot of views.
