Stopped reading when he said that "nobody found the gamepad innovative." (sigh)

Yeah, I found that statement ridiculous as well.

Someone earlier said that people weren't giving much in the way of rebuttals against the article... seriously?  I don't have a problem with objective opinions based on facts, but much of the article just reeks of bias.  Just because the author isn't feeling the innovation of the WiiU concept doesn't mean that "nobody" is.  Furthermore, the statement that Smartglass + 360 is basically the same as the WiiU and its gamepad is incredibly presumptuous.  I think Smartglass is a pretty smart move on Microsoft's part, and sure, they have some features in common, but let me know when the 360 can display a full game on the TV screen and a tablet simultaneously ala the Zelda demo from E3 2011, or for that matter, stream a full game for play on a tablet at all.

Probably the most telling example of the author's ignorance is when he states that "there's no new full-fledged Mario game".  Either he's horribly misinformed or doesn't realize what a Mario game is... either way, it's yet another erroneous statement.
