PSP-Go gathers dust. Why did it get 1/10 years of support?

I thought the Go was great, sure it was a little bit more expensive but it came with 10 free games. The only problem I can think of is that Crisis Core, my favourite game on the system, didn't have a digital version. Anybody who had a PSP Go will have a perfect transition into the PS Vita too.
