The Zune was a better media player than it's contemporary iPod, but Apple is cool and hipsters like it. Xbox was a better machine than the PS2, but Playstation was cool and fanboys hate new things. Surface is a real computer shaped like a tablet, an actual replacement for a laptop. But the iPad is cool and all the cool kids have it.

MS has been and continues to be a leader in the tech industry. MS tries to lead the horse to water, but they can't make it drink.

This is one silly post. Have you seriously thought about what you just wrote.

Ipod came before the zune.

ipad came before surface.

PS2 came before xbox.

Exactly where has MS led in any of the above that you pointed out? They followed. Even if they bought new elements to their products improving on what went before they are still following someone's lead. How on earth can that be leading?

Sure, MS is a leader of tech but those three you pointed out are pityful examples.

MS hasn't lost it's mojo. MS is going just a good if not better than it was before. Other companies has just upped their game. No company stays on top forever. It's how the world works.

I said MS was A lead not THE leader. Nobody can argue that Apple isn't a leader. Google is also a leader.

"Ipod came before the zune." But, the Zune was a better device for watching video, sharing music, and even games.

"ipad came before surface." Yet the Surface is a real computer, not a watered down tablet you must plug into a compter do finish your work.

"PS2 came before xbox." The Xbox had more powerfull hardware, better online, and a better controller.

Hitting the market first is a way to lead, but doing it better is a way to lead as well.
