I am with Spurgeonryan on this one. Of all the consoles I have bought since the 8 bit days, the Wii was the biggest disappointment over the long term. Yes, I enjoyed it for a short period after purchase, but I have never packed a console back in its box during its life cycle, and this is where the Wii ultimately went, back in its box. Perhaps I am over playing yet another iteration of a Nintendo franchise, I mean how many times can you play another version of Mario Kart, and that applies to almost all Nintendo games, they are just more of the same.
As someone who rarely hesitates when it comes to buying the next console, the Wii experience has made me cautious when it comes the next Nintendo platform, so Wii U will not be an immediate purchase and may never be purchased.
