I don't really put that much stock in this. Some parts of this story may be true, but it sounds like a bunch of conjecture too.
What "great" Ubi Soft support? Zombi U was already in development last year as Killer Freaks, so they just threw in some timed exclusivity for Rayman, which is a low budget game.
