funny how he says the 360 is built to last the generation and wont see a new model yet I have had mine repaired twice in the first 10 months of ownership.

How come I still have a NES thats fully working after 20 or so years but cannot get 12 months out of my 360?

also - the PS3 will do okay and probably will last 10 years but unfortunately the damage to the market ownership that the PS2 built up is done in the first couple of years, if the Wii lasts say 5 years and a Wii2 comes out thats fully backwards compatible with all of the Wii's games and offers more power so the mulitplat PS3 / 360 games could also be ported onto that going forward then thats a tough move to combat.

Als - IMO it was a smart move for MS to get the 360's technology so close to the PC cos it makes PS3 exclusives that much harder to justify for developers, most games get released on the PC and if you're gonna create a PC version and the 360's is not a million miles different then why not release a 360 version also.

This gen has so many new variables that I dont think the old "the PS3 will be around for 10 years so it'll do great" argument is that valid anymore.
