Well a loss of 45m isnt that bad, compared with the loss of the competitor. I'm thinking the loss in the last 2qs come from accelerated ps4 r&d. Continiuous ps4 development, ps3/vita pricecuts would probably result in them ending in the red.

It has nothign to do with R&D. Sony tell you exactly what it is all about in their reports. Markets are reacting, they are very unimpressed

How do you know? They will never admit they're working on a new console in their reports. And yes, Im talking about Games division, why would I talk about Sony corp as a whole? Do their financial and picture divisions matter? No, that would be comparing apples with oranges.
