I know it's a bit early to call, but take into account this points:
- MH4 on the way
- still no 3DS Pokemon game
- Animal Crossing this holiday (First one did 5 mil in Japan alone)
- I'm 95% certain that DQXI will be on the system
- Still loads of games for the system (Paper Mario, Luigi Mansion, DQ spinoffs and remakes, nintendo releases, Project X Zone, Bravely Default, Prof Layton, Layton vs Wright, Inazuma, etc................)
All this plus the fact it's selling so well makes me think that the 3DS will pass at least the PS1 in Japan. Probably by 2014/2015.
