| CrazzyMan said: This is soo simple. 600$ for 5 years = 60 month = 10$ per month. I DON`T SEE A BIG DIFFERENCE. :) Kytiara: yeah, 660$ is more then 360$. But like i said 10-11$ for GREAT experience, is not much. People will pay ANY reasonable price, just to play FFXIII, MGS4, GT5, FFXIIIv, KZ2, HS, LBP, Uncharted, Lair, 2! Team Ico games, Folklore, G3, NGS, GoW3, MS2, R&C, 8 days, Factor 5 - Turricane, Wardevil and so on. |
First off, please stop saying $600/5 years. That is just ignorant. You're not counting a bevy of costs from games to tax to controllers/accessories and other stuff. So that is not exactly accurate.
Even if we were going to do that, we could say:
360: $400/5 years = $6.67/month
Wii: $250/5 years = $4.16/month
But again, this is a waste of time so no need for it.
And I think the word "reasonable" is key. Yes, a lot of people will pay a "reasonable" price for many of the games you mention (not all of them for sure though). What do you consider "reasonable"? I think it is a lot different from what most game system buyers consider "reasonable." Consider that PS2 had massive sales at the sub-$200 level, as did PS1. How many people are willing to shell out a minimum of $660 for even an awesome game? That's about three times more than most are used to paying...
And don't give us this crap about "true gamers" are willing to bend over for Sony's high prices. Not all of us are so rich we can buy whatever we want.
