Ta da!

Kind of like this but not photoshopped by me...you know...sleeker.

Exactly, except with handles and Dualshock sized buttons/analogs, since it will be a streaming controller and not need to fit in a pocket or leave the house. My picture obviously is hideous and I'm sure some engineers could do a much better job. Providing a touchscreen controller is an intrigate part in creating a multiplat environment with the Wii U (and I guess SmartGlass though I have strong reservations on its comparible use to Wii U). It also provides a transferable platform for PS Mobile games and apps, between Vita, Xperia, HTC, Sony Tablets, and PS4. The Vita will be a PS4 controller but it won't have the battery life of a streaming controller, but all of the functions will be available on both the DS4 and the Vita.

Providing better triggers, tweeking the analogs, updating the D-pad a little all comes into play aswell. It will be interesting to see what they got for DS4, but I'd bet a touchscreen set up is part of it.

EDIT: Oh and just using the Vita isn't an viable option. First of all battery life, second price, third people are going to want 4 triggers and clickable analogs, and fourth Vita's are tied to accounts and that will just make things messy in larger quantities.

Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(
