The Wii is amazing and will be remembered always
mostly as a great console (haters gonna hate)

The Wii will be remembered socially as the most successful casual console that Nintendos ever had, but the console with the least play time of all. The 360 and PS3 will be remembered for pushing online playability and being competent media hubs. The PS3 and 360 are in a race with one another over console vitality and that is something the Wii serverely lacks. Its Nintendos least abundant console on the core game side of things as well. Their backwards compatibility allows them to play older games and thats what saves the game drought, but honestly for the gen the majority of the top games for it were first party with some third party thrown in. The Wii brought the family together with casual gaming (as short as that time im sure lasted) in a fashion where non-gamers would've neglected gaming period.

The Wii will be remembered as the winner point, blank, period. So try again, not everyone carries the same amount of hate for the Wii as you lol. Media hubs lol, the Wii has just as much netflix use as the others but i guess you're talking about the DVD/bluray players, well news flash we already have like you know 5 DVD players sitting around and nobody even watches bluray so fail.

Thats what I said essentially. He who wins the casuals expanding into the non-gaming crowd wins the gen. Six years was enough for the Wii, it didnt have any legs after the 2011. It blew out all of the casual steam and even if there was any left Microsoft drew the casuals away with the Kinect in 2010.

Yes it definitely shows in Kinect's software sells lol, actually no the Wii died because NIntendo killed it. The PS3 and 360 continue to have their biggest games released for it while the Wii hasnt seen a decent Mario game since 2009, if NSMBU released for Wii last year we wouldnt be having this discussion and youll go right back too its only the casuals.

LOL Everyone knows when you go for the casuals its a short burst but high sales. In this case it was four years of stellar sales and then when the competition showed off their casual gimmick the casuals turned their head and said wow "look...no nunchucks...I can dance infront of it without a controller" they all gave chase to the Kinect giving it one of the highest tech launches in history. Did you see the Kinect launch? Nintendos knew it wasnt going to last because it never does but they got the record numbers they were looking for. Their mind shifts with the wind whenever any latest trend hits (especially in America). When everyone saw the next Wii console prototype leak we (the core like you and me) could pretty much surmise the Wii would soon be discontinued.

I saw Kinect's launch lol and yet the 360 still failed to beat the Wii that year so whats your point. This is the problem, you are one of those people that are still in belief of what killed the Wii was them showing off their gimmicks, which by the way one failed and im sure you know which one that was. You cant show me a single ounce of proof of kinect has stolen the Wii's casual appeal. Just Dance continues too destoy any game sales wise kinect gets, you would think they would all bought it for kinect right? Thats where your logic fails you are in belief of the Wii's sales have fallen because of Kinect, thats a hell no. The Wii has fallen because of Nintendo, what exactly do the casuals have left to buy for the Wii besides Just Dance. Mario isn't there anymore, neither is Wiisports and Wiifit the games that created this uproar. Let me guess they should be supporting Zumba since Wiifit isn't their, thats wrong. Im not buying Tekken just because there is no more Smash Brothers. It obviously isn't Kinects doing, if you havent noticed, after only one year of their gimmicks they are already in their declines that shouldnt be happening since they have yet to get to where the Wii was(20+).

P.S. You keep saying the Wii had 4 good years and thats it, well the 360 must have had 5 bad years and 2 decent, and the PS3 had 3 bad and 3 decent. Why exactly should the PS3's good years be considered good when all 4 of the Wii's good years have been above all of the PS3's so called good years.

LOL...I know the move failed. But its pretty much undisputed that it was the tech with the most potential and precision. The problem is Sony didnt care enough to back it up with decent games.

Even with  decent games, it still would have failed. Once again, show me how has Kinect killed the Wii when the sequels to most of its games have flopped so far. That screams gimmick.
