We won't know the real extent of the Wii U's hardware capabilities for at least another year or two once developers start making their games from the ground up for all the next gen systems, rather than simply porting games based on the existing generation of consoles over to Wii U like Arkham City and ACIII, ect.
Nintendo sure isn't going to clue us in on the Wii's power either since they never announce actual specs, and all the games they've shown so far like NSMBU and Pikmin 3 aren't pushing the hardware that much, and instead are more focused on art style rather than the gritty realism and physics that most HD games are known for.
