NSMBU was an afterthougth, it wasnt a game they wanted to make because they had imaginative ideas AND features that justified making the game, it was just the only cheap million seller they could create in 12 months. Pikmin 3 was already being developed years ago for the Wii. WiiFitU was another cheap million seller they could create in 12 months. How is a brand new classic Mario title, Pikmin 3 - which looks gorgeous, A Wii Fit sequel that will probably sell like 30 million units, a new mature IP from Ubisoft, and a sequel to the one of the best 2D sidescrolling games in recent history not a strong launch? What exactly do you people expect from Nintendo? Smash Bros, Metroid Prime, and Zelda all at launch? Aint gonna happen.
How soon we forget the crappy launches of Xbox 360 and PS3. Seriously - Kameo, PDZ, Project Gotham Racing 3, GUN, Resistance?? Gross...
The Wii launched with a Zelda port, Super Monkey Ball, and *shudders* Red Steel.
Come to think of it, even the PS2, a console with perhaps the best game library to date, had a pretty mediocre launch lineup.
