Resident Evils 4, 5 and 6, Dead Space 1, 2 and especially 3, Left 4 Dead 1 and 2 and Dead Rising 1 and 2 are more action games than survival horror games. The Dead Space franchise would be the closest we've seen, but even so that's still more action horror than survival horror. Too much ammo, not enough (if any!) scares. Co-op play does not belong to a survival horror game at all. The whole point of a survival horror game is to put you, alone, against seemingly insurmountable odds with limited resources. All of those games above give you too much ammo, and The Last Of Us will do the same. |
