Not going to happen. If Nintendo felt they could make unique software on any hardware, they wouldn't be betting the farm time and time again on new hardware designs.
DS: Dual Screen + Touch Screen
Wii: Motion Controls
Wii U: Dual Screen + Touch Screen + Motion + NFC + Asymetric Gaming
3DS: 3D without glasses
They clearly don't believe in software innovation without hardware innovation to complement that.
