3DS sales have been noticeably declining since the XL announcement, notwithstanding the release of several solid performing games, so I anticipate the first week for the XL is going to be pretty good for Nintendo. I believe the DSi XL did well in Japan, too. As for Mario, 600k is quite doable, although I wouldn't call it conservative. The games have a strong start as well as strong legs.
