3DS touchscreen flickering? Backlight flickering? Vertical flickering lines?

The phenomenon is not easy to spot  but "once you see it  you cant unsee it" But again its only the touchscreen    the 3d screen is alright.

Its like the backlight is dimming by  3 or so percent and going back to normal but  with something that looks like   seperate lines of the pixels.  And several lines on the screen at the same time. It also reminds a me a bit of TV scanlines  but without every second line being black     here its more like  1 line is 100% brightness the next is 90% the next is 95% , 98% etc...  and that number is changing for each line like 3 times a second its like   dancing lines of brightness levels.

It sounds like something is disconnected or possibly too hot. You need to call Nintendo.
