if you mean me, I am not actually doing the earth and space people, basically earth is abandoned as a living planet because it became so overpopulated by industrial buildings, that are controlled by multiple organizations across the galaxy, those powerful organizations basically hire workers and machines to get their resources from earth and ship them outside, to their own planets / space stations, and since the earth is one of the main "life" resource , most of these buildings basically cover the whole atmosphere , blocking out the sun from most of the water surface on earth, making it black rather than blue, hence why its called "the black planet" , so earth isn't a living planet, but is a place for workers, All humans live outside it, so not like SEED where some live in it (the poor), and others live somewhere else, also i'd like to point out, that workers aren't slaveworkers, they work for their own profit, Elyzium , is were the outlaws and rejects live , at least that was the plan.
as for inspirations , I am actually inspired by mainly japanese sci-fi , but one of my main inspirations is Cowboy Bebop, especially the characters.
