Hi evryone
I recently got my PAL NES out the loft and to cut a long story short found a video on youtube showing you how to disable the NES10 chip to improve functionality and make it region free.
I have since got hold of 2 NTSC NES games, they both play but with graphical glitches. Does anyone know if this is a common problem and it was pretty much a waste of time me modding my NES?
I know doing the opposite (modding a NTSC NES to play PAL games) has these problems as well as speeding up the games because of the faster processor but I thought the PAL NES would just slow the NTSC game down to the speeds (17.5% slower and 50Mhz) us europeans are used to.
On a side note I recently got hold of a NES Top Loader but can't get it running on any UK TV (HD or CRT), is there anyway to get these working as they're RF only and lack composite out connections?
Any answers/help would be much appreciated.
