But on the part I've quoted, I wanted to make a few points. First of all, if that model didn't have detailed textures, it would have looked plastic, not metallic. That it looks metallic means that it has detailed, albeit fairly monochromatic, textures. Second of all, you can't pick out a single still image, criticise the design of one model, and then claim that all models are like that.

Yes, that's a much better model. But the overall scene is still lacking, look at the "circular" bolts at the foreground, or rather octogonal. The lack of "concave" peices on that model still doesn't support his argument, the guns have details textured on, and about as detailed as a PS2 game. the cars at the bottom of the screen are even worse. The buildings in the background are flat polygons with details textued on, again PS2 level. But that ship is textued pretty detailed, but it's still flat textures and no more detailed than Rogue Squadron 2. I still stand by my words, this game does nothing above what the current Gen can do, there isn't even any self shadowing.
