Brave is definitely worthy of the Pixar name, and while it's not in the upper echelon of the studio's films (like Toy Story 3, Up, and The Incredibles), it's still a solid film with a lot of heart.
I agree that the movie is underrated, as it got too much flak for not being a game changer like previous Pixar films. It's definitely very traditional, especially when compared to other Disney films. It is, in essence, a classic Princess movie... but that doesn't mean it's not a great film. It looks incredible, the voice work is wonderful, the soundtrack is fantastic (just bought it off iTunes), and like I said before, the story, while simple, has a lot of heart.
I gave it an 8/10 (Great) and I stand by that score. Brave is indeed a great movie! ^_^
