If you're going to trade in your 3DS you should do it for a 3DS XL.
If you dump your 3DS for a Vita you'll probably regret it when original Zelda, Metroid, and more come out. If all you have right now is Zelda OoT, then you should get Mario 3D Land, Mario Kart 7, and some of the great 3rd party games. It's not the 3DS's fault that you only bought one game.
You can always get a Vita to go along with your 3DS. It's not like there's a law that says you can only own one.
