8.4 mil hardware, 37 million software in 1 yr! Just look at all those sellers O_o

Well, let's see how the XL will perform. Who knows. But even if it doesn't beat the DS, it won't make a fool of itself, no way.

Well, so far yes, Layton vs Ace Attoney is still TBA 2012 - but I think it's hard for it to make it. Too bad, the series has a yearly release schedule since 2008... but I believe the 6th Layton is already in the making too.


Make a fool out of itself?! :P DS's 2006  was the record year for any gaming console at 8.4 mil, second was the DS in 2007 for 7 mil.. 3rd was PS at around 5 mil. In comparison any console that sells more than 3 mil a year in Japan is considered as a successful year. That's how beastly the DS was in Japan! Nothing comes close to it..

It's at least gonna beat the PS this year most definitely, I can see it doing 5-6 mil this year easy.. but the NSMB+Xmas effect well skyrocket the numbers most definitely.
