Okay, I understand why you were confused. We had gotten on a side-topic of Nintendo hate which had a little but not as much to do with OP.

Of course you're right about preference having no link to mental issues. It's only when preference causes a person to fall into pissing contests and bashing the pleasures and desires of others that there is a case for illness.
