Jesus the movie is nearly 3 hours long! 167 minutes and 20 seconds.

I really wish Batman wasn't out of commission for 8 years because now we have to go through all the crap that convinces him to come back.

One of the good things about sequels is you don't have to bother with origin stories. The hero's motivation and powers are all established. Don't make us wait to see them in action.

I don't think it will be that long before he's back in action--I'd say half-an-hour at the most.  They've got to fit in stories of Bane and Catwoman for sure, as well as possibly Ra's, Zasz, Riddler, Azrael, and who knows how many other villains, not to mention anything that goes on with Gordon, how Harvey's death and preserved legacy has affected Gotham, and just what the hell becomes of Batman at the end of all this.

So, while he may not instantly be back to his full power after a half-hour, I don't think they'll spend too long at least getting him back into the fight.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?
