the best multiplayer games are those that are not split screen, such as Powerstone2 and SSBM, cause dividing a screen into smaller quadrants is stupid especially with smaller tv's.

I my self use to think that I needed to have split screen but in all honesty I much prefer online/lan multiplayer, I just wasn't my own screen, but then again I am a PC gamer so I'm just use to looking at my own screen all the time when playing lan games.

to each their own I guess.

I'm with you on that one. Sure I had fun back in the day with all those old multiplayer games that had splitscreen, but we always wished we could have our own screen. Especially for those beat-em up games where you would have to wait for your partner before going further across the screen. Goldeneye and Perfect Dark would've been even more fun when going up against those cheesy screen watchers.

I don't mind that most games are going away from split-screen gaming. Especially racing games! I want my whole screen to see the road. Then again I guess because all of my friends have Xbox Live it makes things easier. Plus all the games anyone ever wants to play in split-screen have split-screen. Like Halo 3, NFS Carbon, Gears of War, etc... I would've hated Crackdown if it was split-screen instead. Having the freedom to run around until you and your partner lose each other is part of the beauty of the game.

Love the product, not the company. They love your money, not you.
