Ah, but who knows? Maybe he's trying to trick us ;)
Anyhow, I had another (more minor) thought. We know Batman has been out of comission for eight years. Moonhero brought up Bruce's dad's "Why do we fall" line. The phrase wasn't even referenced in Dark Knight, but it seems like the kind of thing that would come back into play in the end. Batman fell at the end of Dark Knight. It may have been willingly, but the fact remains that few will now regard him as a hero.
"Why do we fall? So we can learn to pick ourselves back up." Well, what's the opposite of falling?
Rising.
