I just call it "new".

Anyway, I was just curious - a lot of people miss out on what I felt was actually the more important part of the ending, since they use Youtube.

The thing is that a lot of people miss out on the conversations with the Catalyst, which I thought were the best part of it. I had already pegged it for a sort of insane god-like AI, but there were a few touches and subtle nods to canon which made the whole exchange better than I had previously hoped for.

In particular I liked how it tended to react when you argued with it.

"Then I won't use the Crucible. We'll destroy you without it."

"You cannot. You are vastly outnumbered, and used most of your resources to get to this point. If you do not use the Crucible then you will lose, and the cycle will continue."

"I don't believe you."

"Your belief is not required," and that part was good, the Hale and Meer voices fading away and the Child's voice ringing clear like a bell.

It's okay if we didn't like it the same, though. Now I guess it's a waiting game for the first real single player DLC.

The videos include the conversation with Star Child. You don't get to control what you say, obviously, but then you don't have much choice in the game either. But yes, it was a nice touch to have Shepard actually show some backbone, as he has done at every other point in the series.

And the new ending is most commonly called Refusal. It doesn't really have a colour. Perhaps black, for the future of the current sentient races?
