I think Nintendo are wanting it to be like the Move controller for PS3, just an addition that can enhance games, not something that will create its own type of games (Even though there ARE Move exclusive games, most games just have the Move controller as an alternate option). Besides, with a bigger touchscreen, using that as a second analogue stick should be easier. I'm not sure if I want one yet, since I've only had my 3DS since November so it's a little early to be switching over for me, but I guess it doesn't bother me that much that it won't have a second analogue stick. I do think though, that all games that use the circle pad pro (If games use it exclusively) should have a bundle for cheap, that way people that want to play those games will DEFINITELY end up owning one and won't really be able to complain. My only reason for not owning a circle pad pro is because it's black, I want one to be made in Aqua Blue... but nooooo Nintendo are sticking with only black D: |
Built-in CPP controls wont' do that though, maintaining basic control options is the smartest thing for developers to do and Nintendo, while most likely won't have to, will encourage developers to never make a game without original control options. Developers would be crazy to alienate part of the install base. (reason why the move has trouble getting quality titles that aren't dualshock compatible)
Whether you have CPP or not, you will be able to play every game made for 3DS.
Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(
