So much that Pikmin 3 is regarded as more of a must-have Wii U launch title than NSMBU. The vast majority of Mario haters are people who dislike or despise Nintendo and want to see Nintendo fail or gone. It's really not hard to notice. |
You nailed it.
I'll add that 2 Mario Galaxy games, 1 NSMB, 1 Paper Mario, and 1 Mario Kart game coming out for the Wii is not good justification for saying "too many Mario games", because there's clear diversification here with Mario, while a certain other company releases 10 versions of the same Call of Duty game on Xbox 360 alone; and the Mario critics seem to be thrilled with that.
I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.
