Keep in mind, Nintendo has made a few new IPs this gen or the one before it, but not for the core market. These were mostly Art Academy, Nintendogs, Brain Age,Trace Memory, Spirit Mirror, Pushmo, Endless ocean, Wii Sports, Wii Play, Pandora's Tower, Baten Kaitos (I think that's Nintendo's now), Smash is still relatively new, but just none in the nitty gritty or sci-fi genre. |
Sony Santamonica has made more than this within this gen, but God of War, MLB The show, Flow, Warhawk, Starhawk, Flower, Fat princess, Twisted Metal, Unifinished Swan and they are helping team ICO as we speak with the Last Guardian. Nintendo makes titles, but as you said they are irrelevant to the core. Thats just the problem with what Reggie is saying though isn't? Nintendo can never seem to satisfy fans. Lets see how far the third parties can carry the Wii U.
