Yeah they did. Everyone knows Nintendo can make quality, so what are they so afraid of in making a new IP? I played Nintendo from four years old to fifteen and then I slowed down on Nintendo purchases because the PS2 had so many games. After the gamecube I took a long break from Nintendo. Hasn't bothered me at all since first party isn't really too into making new games IP's. Sony filled that void for both Nintendo and Microsoft, because they seem to be making more core titles than the both of them combined. The new Mario game looks so uninspired, the Zelda demo video looked interesting and Metroid has always been cool. I've realized over this years though that its not that hard to ignore Nintendo. Take Gears for instance, Microsoft burned me out of my favorite 360 franchise. Theres no way that game will survive to the next console.

Apart from new IPs, what could Nintendo do to make Prime a more compelling title. The reason I ask is because I'm assuming, would ND release UC4 on the PS3/4, you would likely buy it. What is it about Prime that failed to compel you back to the Nintendo platform, and how similar is it to gears in that regards? What of it is better than gears, what is similar and what is worse. Lastly, is it possible that Nintendo, as a company, turned you off, and that affected your opinion on their games? To expand, had Prime released on the PS2, would you have bought it?
