jeez 6-8 cpu cores for gaming, 3 cpu cores for backwards compatibility, 2 cpu cores for background workload, kinect 2, and cheaper than the current 360 with hard drive and kinect. They must really be planning on making a lot of money from software, subscriptions, and peripherals.
Cloud gaming by 2015... I hope they tell my isp that plan. Because while my internet is a bit faster than it was 3 years ago, it is very unstable and constantly goes down due to heavy traffic in my area.
Either way I will be pretty excited if this does end up having an indefinite lifespan. It makes sense to try to stop releasing consoles considering only nintendo has been able to sell the actual hardware profitably, and even their recent 3ds currently is selling at a loss. Sony and microsoft will be very happy if they never have to release another console again considering royalties for hundreds of millions of units of software and countless prepherials and have allowed 360 to just break even on the initial r&D and initially selling the consoles at a loss, and the ps3 still has a very long way to go to break even.
