That's just the point, it is one platform (win 8) but with different versions for different devices. I can see this really work because it's so easy to make an app for the three versions.

And instead of making a bigger version of Windows Phone 8 for tablets, they made an ARM version of Windows 8 with a common core to all of them. I think it's the way to go. Look at what Google has done with Android 4, a tablet should not have blown up mobile OS, but an OS with some UI that takes advantage of the extra screen size.

Just wonder how apps will look between phone and tablet versions.
Metro is said to have good scalability, but will they just blow them up?
