Seriously? Some of the textures on the Wii version look like they've been made in Paint, poor lighting in areas making certain sections too dark and generally fewer objects. That's not even counting the fact that larger levels have had to be split into smaller parts or that it runs at 30fps rather than 60fps of the HD consoles whilst frequently dipping below 30fps, especially in multiplayer.
The Wii didn't get many ports because even games that are technically fairly simple on the HD consoles (e.g. Call of Duty MW3) were difficult enough to port over. For most developers a port of an HD version was just not financially feasible when they could bring it out on 3 seperate platforms (PS3/360/PC) whilst using the same assets. The lack of programmable shaders in the Wii GPU also seriously hindered possible ports.
OT: WiiU I think will get far more support, at least initially. Even if the next Sony/MS consoles are significantly more powerful, the programmable shaders in the GPU should help with porting games down to the lower power hardware. If the WiiU does well, we may even see some developers choosing to port upwards and adding effects on the more powerful hardware.
