just another thread of nintendo and third parties????

3rd parties dont like nintendo lets face it pls. COD on wii sold 1 million+, RE4 1million+,GE0071million+, I am sure a port of GTA4, assassins creed and some other could have sold at least 1million copies, but hey, who needs more money anyways??

yep because we know how easy it would have been to port those games, anybody who really believes this either never played those games or is in deep denial. You're probably both

Ok, how can you be so sure of that?... I do have a very decent PC (I am studying 3d animation) and I have seen and tried some "AAA" third party games, LA Noire & fallout come to my mind. I dont debate the fact that a wii version of any of those games will requiere some work, but the thing is, what is the budget of those games??? I guess not that high, after all wii received a COD version almost every year selling above 1 million units each, and we all know activision doesnt like losing money, so why would they bother in the first place?...

I believe it because i have played those games and have a WIi and seen what the best Wii has to offer its not even close to those. SOme work?? How about making the game from the ground up, the engines running those games dont even work on WIi. LOL to people still using COD, those games are running on and engine that wasnt even that cutting edge to begin with. COD games are not pushing PS360, and the funny thing is it STILL runs like crap on WIi.

sorry, but I dont understand what you are trying to say here?

Is this an argument about how bad some third party games look on the wii in comparison with ps3/360?

OT: The definition of harcore is very wide. I consider my brother to be a very very hardcore gamer although he only plays PES. Please define hardcore first and then we can debate if nintendo lost anything.

He's saying that the difference in hardware between the Wii and the HD consoles means that even a game like Call of Duty which isn't using particularly advanced techniques (the IW engines are based on Quake III technology) on the HD consoles is a struggle to port onto Wii. The smaller studio of Infinity Ward didn't even port the engine to Wii, it was the much larger Treyarch studio that made it feasible.

Therefore, more advanced games utilising more advanced features and built from the ground up to utilise the hardware found in the HD consoles are going to be even harder to port and probably not feasible given the comparatively low sales.
