Look back at all the older generations of the gaming industry, the leap from Nintendo 64-PSX graphics to PS2-GCN-Xbox, that was a pretty huge leap, and from that generation to the current as well.

Pretty sure the next generation is gonna be bigger as well.

Then you are also recognizing that Wii U will indeed be more powerful than PS3. In turn saying that Wii U will be near as powerful as the other next-gen Consoles.
