So you're going to buy a console for some games you're slightly interested in and to play the games you already own and can play on another console?  If you love Nintendo and just want to give them a bit of charity and not worry about future price cuts then just say it like that.  That's a reasonable purpose behind a purchase if you have the means for it, and I do that with NISA games all the time.  Hell if you have a ton of money and just want to play with the controller while watching TV that's ok too.  But buying something early based on what you know it'll do down the line makes no sense in a world where prices go down instead of up. 

If he wanted to give charity to Nintendo he wouldn't even bother buying a wiiu. He would just buy software. Or mail them money.
