I used to have *ahem* a rather "cavalier" approach to grammar. I regret having that attitude.
I also regret three things I used to do: being an outspoken liberal, knocking creationism and posting science threads.
Most of the liberal opinions I used to post now make no sense to me. I like to think that I no longer define my political beliefs as liberal or conservative, I like to think I can form my own. I often feel that many people support something they know they shouldn't because it's how liberals or conservatives 'should feel' and that's how they define themselves. I know I used to.
Knocking creationism was just mean. When I finally realised how destructive and cruel it was I felt incredibly bad. At the time it felt like it was the right thing to do, but I regret doing it now.
Posting science threads was just pretentious. When I was doing a BSc I thought it was cool to do, it was nice to have the reputation as 'the science guy'. I was a complete tool. When I actually became involved in research I dropped that attitude like a tonne of bricks.
