It is a tribute to retro gaming. I believe it is in Nintendo's interest to do this, if it is done right. It looks promising. It is possible Disney paid some money to get the licensing rights also. With others signing up, it made sense for Nintendo to be in it. After all, it has Dr. Robotnik (Eggman) in it, so Bowser makes sense to.
I hope someone makes a full Wreck-It Ralph videogame to. I do want to try it.
